The Senate stands adjourned as a further mark of respect to the memory of the late Senator Dirk Arthur Kempthorne until 10:00am on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #728 Kevin Warsh, of Florida, to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of fourteen years from February 1, 2026, post-cloture.
At approximately 11:30am the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #728 Kevin Warsh, of Florida, to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of fourteen years from February 1, 2026. Upon disposition of the first Warsh nomination the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #727 Kevin Warsh, of Florida, to be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of four years.
The Senate will then recess until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.
As a reminder during Monday’s session cloture was filed on the motion to proceed to Cal. #296 S.Res.526 A resolution withholding the pay of Senators if a Government shutdown occurs.
The Senate could consider a motion to discharge S.J.Res.163 - A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress during Tuesday’s session. Senators will be notified if votes are scheduled.
