The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to ten minutes each.
At approximately 11:30am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #5, S.Res.690, An executive resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of (49) certain nominations on the Executive Calendar. If cloture is invoked on the resolution all post-cloture time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on adoption of the resolution at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader no earlier than Friday, May 1st.
Thursday afternoon Senator Schiff is expected to make a motion to discharge SFRC of further consideration of S.J.Res.184, A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress.
