The Senate stands adjourned until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak there in for up to ten minutes each.

 

At approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #670, Robert Cekada, of Florida, to be Director, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

 

Potentially around 4:45pm, senators should expect two roll call votes in relation to motions to proceed to S.J.Res.139, disapproving the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to "Air Plan Disapproval; Colorado; Regional Haze Plan for the Second Implementation Period" (Bennet), and S.J.Res.99, disapproving the rule submitted by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services relating to "Removal of the Automatic Extension of Employment Authorization Documents" (Rosen).

 

During Tuesday’s session, Senator Thune filed cloture on Executive Calendar #5, S.Res.690, authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of (49) certain nominations on the Executive Calendar. This cloture vote is expected during Thursday’s session.
