Schedule for Wednesday, February 4, 2026

The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #614 Aaron Christian Peterson, of Alaska, to be United States District Judge for the District of Alaska, post-cloture.

 

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Peterson nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #609 Megan Blair Benton, of Missouri, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Missouri.

 

If cloture is invoked on the Benton nomination, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #612 Brian Charles Lea, of Tennessee, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Tennessee.

 

If cloture is invoked on the Lea nomination, there would be up to two hours of debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination.  This vote is possible during Wednesday’s session.  Another message will be sent when more information is available.

 

During Tuesday’s session, cloture was filed on Executive Calendar #613  Justin R. Olson, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Indiana.  This cloture will ripen during Thursday’s session.
