The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.
At approximately 11:00am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #460, Harold D. Mooty III, of Alabama, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama.
Following the disposition of the Mooty nomination the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.
At approximately 2:20pm the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #294 Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe, of Florida to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #372 William W. Mercer, of Montana, to be United States District Judge for the District of Montana.
If cloture is invoked on the Moe nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 5:30pm. If cloture is invoked on the Mercer nomination the Senate will vote on confirmation at a time TBD by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.
The cloture motion with respect to the Meredith nomination will ripen at a time TBD by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader on Wednesday October 22.
During Monday’s session, cloture was filed on the motion to proceed to Cal. #168, H.R.5371, Continuing Resolution and Executive Calendar #458 Bill Lewis, of Alabama, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Alabama.
