The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly conference meetings.

During Tuesday’s session, Senator Thune filed cloture on the following:

1. Motion to proceed to Cal. #168, H.R.5371, Continuing Resolution
2. Executive Calendar #460 Harold D. Mooty III, of Alabama, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama
3. Motion to proceed to Calendar #136, H.R.4016, Defense Appropriations

These cloture motions will ripen during Thursday’s session.

At approximately 2:15pm, we expect Senator Thune will move to reconsider one of the failed cloture votes with respect to the motion to proceed to Cal. #168, H.R.5371, CR.

Additional roll call votes are possible during Wednesday’s session.
