Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer today released the following statement in response to the organized effort by the House GOP to disrupt the testimony of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper that resulted in a delay of her testimony:

“This stunt from House Republicans is designed to intimidate people from revealing the truth – hardly the hallmark of a democracy. It's outrageous - but not surprising – behavior.”
