Schedule for Friday August 7, 2026

The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Friday, August 7, 2026.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the 74 nominations en bloc as provided for in Executive Calendar #6, S.Res.817, post-cloture.

 

At 11:30am the Senate will proceed to Legislative Session for the consideration of H.R.5334, vehicle for Sanctions legislation.  The only amendments in order to be offered by their sponsor or their designee will be Graham-Blumenthal #6711, Graham #6712 (title amendment) and Paul #6715.

 

There will be up to 2 minutes of debate prior to a vote on the Paul amendment #6715, if offered.  Upon disposition of the Paul amendment, the Graham-Blumenthal #6711, as amended, if amended, will be agreed to, there will be 5 minutes under the control of Senator Graham and upon the use or yielding back of that time the Senate vote on passage of the bill, as amended with 60 affirmative votes required for passage.  If passed, the Graham amendment to the title #6712 will be agreed to, and the title, as amended, will be agreed to.

 

Upon disposition of H.R.5334 the Senate will resume Executive Session and vote on confirmation of the 74 nominations en bloc as provided for in Executive Calendar #6, S.Res.817.

 

Upon disposition of the nominations en bloc the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Collins substitute #6732 to Cal. #320 H.R.6500, vehicle for Continuing Resolution.

 

Additional roll call votes are expected during tomorrow’s session.

The filing deadline for second degree amendments to the Collins substitute and underlying bill is 1 hour prior to the cloture vote, if cloture is invoked.
