The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #760 Michelle Steel, of California, to be Ambassador to the Republic of Korea.
At approximately 11:45am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Steel nomination. If cloture is invoked on the Steel nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 2:15pm.
Upon disposition of the Steel nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #763 George Holding, of North Carolina, to be United States Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The Senate is expected to consider a motion to discharge S.Res.616, a resolution requesting information on Honduras's human rights practices pursuant to section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (Cortez Masto) during Wednesday’s session. Senators will be notified when more information is available.
During Tuesday’s session Senator Thune made a motion to concur in the House amendment to H.R.6644 with further amendment (#5823), filled the tree, and filed cloture on the motion to concur with amendment. Under the rule this cloture will ripen during Thursday’s session.
