The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of H.J.Res.104, providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management relating to “Miles City Field Office Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan Amendment.” 

 

At approx. 11:20am, the joint resolution will be read a third time, and the Senate will vote on passage of the joint resolution.  Senators should then expect two additional roll call votes on the motions to invoke cloture on the motions to proceed to the two CR bills, upon reconsideration.

 

At approximately 2:15pm the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #359, Jennifer Lee Mascott, of Delaware, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit.

 

Following the cloture vote on the Mascott nomination, we expect Republicans to make a motion to proceed to H.J. Res. 105, Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management relating to “North Dakota Field Office Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan”.

 

During Wednesday’s session the Senate is also expected to consider S.J.Res.71, A joint resolution terminating the national emergency declared with respect to energy, and S.J.Res.83 A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities that have not been authorized by Congress.  Senators will be notified when votes are scheduled.

  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed Cal. #167, S.2882, Continuing Resolution, upon reconsideration
  3. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #168, H.R.5371, Continuing Resolution, upon reconsideration
