Schedule for Tuesday September 16, 2025

The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Calendar #115, S. 2296 National Defense Authorization Act.

 

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm-2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.

 

At approximately 2:30pm a roll call vote is expected on the motion to proceed to Cal. #142, S.J.Res.60, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to "Emissions Budget and Allowance Allocations for Indiana Under the Revised Cross-State Air Pollution Rule Update".

 

At approximately 5:30pm, a roll call vote is expected on the motion to proceed to S.Con.Res.22, a concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2026 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2027 through 2035 (Paul).

 

During Monday’s session, Senator Thune filed cloture on the en bloc consideration of the 48 nominations included in S.Res.377 (names listed below).  This cloture is expected to ripen during Wednesday’s session.  If cloture is invoked on the en bloc nominations, there would be up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nominations en bloc.
