Schedule for Thursday, September 4, 2025

The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #262 Maria A. Lanahan, of Missouri, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri.

 

At approximately 11:30am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #262 Maria A. Lanahan to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #291 Edward L. Artau to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.  If cloture is invoked on the Lanahan or Artau nominations, confirmation will occur at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader no earlier than Monday, September 8th.

 

The Senate will then resume consideration of the motion to proceed Cal. #115, S.2296, National Defense Authorization Act.  All post-cloture time will be expired at 1:45pm and the Senate will vote on the motion to proceed.
