The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume the motion to proceed to Cal. #115, S.2296, National Defense Authorization Act, post-cloture.
The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
During Tuesday’s session, Senator Thune filed cloture on following nominations:
- Executive Calendar #262 - Maria A. Lanahan, of Missouri, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri
- Executive Calendar #291 - Edward L. Artau, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida
All time during recess, adjournment, and Leader remarks count post-cloture on the motion to proceed.
A roll call vote on the motion to proceed to NDAA is likely during Wednesday’s session. Another message will be sent when more information is available.
