The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #110 Earl Matthews, of Virginia, to be General Counsel of the Department of Defense, post-cloture.

 

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Matthews nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #94 William Kimmitt, of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade.

 

Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

 

If cloture is invoked on the Kimmitt nomination, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #274 Susan Monarez, of Wisconsin, to be Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

 

If cloture is invoked on the Monarez nomination, there will be up to 2 hours of debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination. Following disposition of the Monarez nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #85 Sam Brown, of Nevada, to be Under Secretary of Veterans Affairs for Memorial Affairs.

 

If cloture is invoked on the Brown nomination, there will be up to 2 hours of debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination.

 

Additional roll call votes are possible during Tuesday’s session.
