The Senate stands adjourned until 11:00am on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #260, Joshua M. Divine, of Missouri, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri.

 

At approximately 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Divine nomination.

 

Senator Thune has filed cloture on the following nominations:

1.      Executive Calendar #260, Joshua M. Divine, of Missouri, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri

2.      Executive Calendar #263, Cristian M. Stevens, of Missouri, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri

3.      Executive Calendar #96, Aaron Lukas, of Arkansas, to be Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence

4.      Executive Calendar #108, Bradley Hansell, of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security

5.      Executive Calendar #91, Arielle Roth, of the District of Columbia, to be Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information

6.      Executive Calendar #114, John Hurley, of California, to be Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Crimes

 

If cloture is invoked on the Divine nomination, and if no agreement is reached, there will be up to 2 hours of debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination. Following disposition of the Divine nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Stevens nomination.

 

Additional votes are expected Thursday with respect to cloture and confirmation of the pending nominations.
