The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #71 L. Felice Gorordo, of Florida, to be United States Alternate Executive Director of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, post-cloture.

 

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Gorordo nomination and on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #55 Glenna Laureen Wright-Gallo, of Nevada, to be Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education.

 

Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

 

At approximately 2:30pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Wright-Gallo nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, there will be up to 10 minutes of debate equally divided (this time may be yielded back) prior to a vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #79 Colleen Joy Shogan, of Pennsylvania, to be Archivist of the United States.

 

At approximately 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #66 Geeta Rao Gupta, of Virginia, to be Ambassador at Large for Global Women's Issues.

 

During Tuesday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on Executive Calendar #4 Bradley N. Garcia, of Maryland, to be United States Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit. This cloture vote is expected to occur on Thursday.
