The Senate stands adjourned under the provisions of S.Res.797 until 10:00am on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #912, Allen Dickerson, of the District of Columbia, to be a Member of the Federal Election Commission.

 

During Tuesday’s session of the Senate, the cloture motions with respect to Executive Calendar #912, #913, and #914 were withdrawn. At 11:00am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the following nominations, in the order listed:

1.     Executive Calendar #912, Allen Dickerson, of the District of Columbia, to be a Member of the Federal Election Commission;

2.     Executive Calendar #913, Shana Broussard, of Louisiana, to be a Member of the Federal Election Commission; and

3.     Executive Calendar #914, Sean Cooksey, of Missouri, to  be a Member of the Federal Election Commission.

 

Following disposition of the Cooksey nomination, Senator Menendez, or his designee, will be recognized to make motions to discharge S.J.Res.77 and S.J.Res.78; if either motion is made, there will be 4 hours of debate concurrently on the motions, equally divided between the proponents and opponents of the Joint Resolutions, with Senator Menendez controlling 15 minutes of proponent time immediately prior to the first vote. Upon the use or yielding back of that time, the Senate will vote on the motions to discharge S.J.Res.77 and S.J.Res.78, in the order listed.

 

Wednesday, December 9th at 11:00am – 3 roll call votes:

1.     Confirmation of Executive Calendar #912, Allen Dickerson, of the District of Columbia, to be a Member of the Federal Election Commission;

2.     Confirmation of Executive Calendar #913, Shana Broussard, of Louisiana, to be a Member of the Federal Election Commission; and

3.     Confirmation of Executive Calendar #914, Sean Cooksey, of Missouri, to  be a Member of the Federal Election Commission.

 

Wednesday, December 9th upon the use or yielding back of up to 4 hours of debate time – at least 2 roll call votes:

1.     Motion to discharge S.J.Res.77: providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign military sale to the United Arab Emirates of certain defense articles and services (remotely piloted aircraft)

2.     Motion to discharge S.J.Res.78: providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign military sale to the United Arab Emirates of certain defense articles and services (F-35)
