Schedule for State of the Union and Wednesday, February 5, 2020

The Senate is in recess until 8:25pm tonight and upon reconvening will proceed as a body to the Hall of the House of Representatives for the Joint Session of Congress. At 9:00 p.m., President Donald Trump will deliver the State of the Union address from the Hall of the House of Representatives in the U.S. Capitol.

Upon dissolution of the joint session, the Senate will stand adjourned until 9:30am on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

Following the prayer and pledge, the Senate will be in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

At 4:00pm, the Senate will convene as a Court of Impeachment, and vote on the Articles of Impeachment.
