The Senate stands adjourned until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

 

Following the prayer and pledge, the Senate will be in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

 

At 9:00 p.m., President Donald Trump will deliver the State of the Union address from the Hall of the House of Representatives in the U.S. Capitol. The Senate will begin gathering in the Senate Chamber at 8:20 p.m. and depart from the Senate Chamber at 8:25 p.m. to proceed as a body to the Hall of the House.

 

The Senate will next convene as a Court of Impeachment on Wednesday, February 5th at 4:00 p.m., and vote on the Articles of Impeachment. Senators have until Wednesday, February 26th to have printed statements and opinions in the Congressional Record, explaining their votes and include those in the documentation of the Impeachment Proceedings; the two-page rule has been waived.
