Senate proceeds to S.J.Res.24
Senator McConnell moved to proceed to S.J.Res.24, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of a rule submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to "Carbon Pollution Emission Guidelines for Existing Stationary Sources: Electric Utility Generating Units".The motion to proceed was then agreed to by voice vote.
Under the statute, there would be up to 10 hours for debate equally divided prior to a vote on passage of the joint resolution. Senators will be notified when a vote is scheduled.
