Schedule for Friday July 1, Tuesday July 5, and Wednesday July 6, 2016

The Senate stands adjourned to then convene for a pro forma session only, with no business conducted on the following dates and times:

Friday, July 1, at 9:30am;

Tuesday, July 5, at 9:00am.

When the Senate adjourns on Tuesday, July 5, it will next convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.

On Wednesday, following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S.3100 (Sanctuary Cities).

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

The filing deadline for 1st degree amendments to the House message to accompany S.754, the legislative vehicle for GMO, is 1:00pm. At 2:15, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of Executive Calendar #357, Brian Martinotti, to be US District Judge for the district of New Jersey. There will be 30 minutes for debate only on the nomination equally divided followed by a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination.

Upon disposition of the Martinotti nomination, the cloture petitions filed during today's session will ripen in the order offered (Sanctuary Cities, Kate's Law, GMO, DOD Approps). If cloture is invoked on any of them, there will then be up to 30 hours of debate followed by a vote on the motion followed by an immediate vote on the next cloture motion.

Wednesday, July 6 at 2:45pm-at least 2 roll call votes

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #357, Brian Martinotti, to be US District Judge for the district of New Jersey
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S.3100, Sanctuary Cities; if cloture is invoked, 30 hours of debate followed by a vote on the motion to proceed. If cloture is not invoked, then there will be a roll call vote on the next cloture motion in the order offered (next: Kate's Law, GMO, DOD Approps)
