Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Rachel Brand, of Iowa, to be Associate Attorney General, post-cloture, with the time until 12:00 noon equally divided. At 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Brand nomination.

Immediately upon disposition of the Brand nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #55, the nomination of Terry Branstad, of Iowa, to be Ambassador to China. If cloture is invoked on the Branstad nomination, a vote on confirmation is expected next week.

There will be an all-Senators briefing at 2:30pm with Rod Rosenstein, Deputy Attorney General, regarding the removal of former FBI Director James Comey.
