Senate Floor Schedule For Thursday, May 07, 2009

  • S.454, Weapon Systems Acquisition Reform Act. The Senate stands in recess until 1:45pm. When the Senate reconvenes the Senate will proceed to executive session to consider the nomination of R. Gil Kerlikowski, of Washington, to be Director of National Drug Control Policy. At 2:00pm, the Senate will proceed to vote on confirmation of the nomination.
  • At 3:00pm Monday, the Senate will proceed to the consideration of H.R.627, Credit Cardholders' Bill of Rights, and Senator Dodd will be recognized to offer a Dodd-Shelby substitute amendment. The cloture petition was withdrawn. The Senate is now in a period of morning business, with senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each. There will be no further roll call votes this week.
