Roll Call Vote on motion to proceed to Executive Session (Mnuchin/Treasury)
4:32pm The Senate began a 15 minute roll call vote on the motion to proceed to Executive Session to consider Steven Mnuchin to be Secretary of the Treasury.

Once in Executive Session, Senator McConnell filed cloture on the nomination of Steven Mnuchin to be Secretary of the Treasury. Cloture has already been filed on the DeVos (Education), Sessions (Attorney General), and Price (HHS) nominations. The cloture motion with respect to the Mnuchin nomination will ripen upon disposition of the Price nomination.
