Schumer: President Trump Should Follow Prime Minister May’s Lead On Being Tough On Russia

March 14, 2018

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer today released the following statement regarding Prime Minister May’s expelling of 23 Russian diplomats from the United Kingdom:

“Where Prime Minister May has taken bold and decisive initial action to combat Russian aggression, our own president has waffled and demurred. Prime Minister May's decision to expel the Russian diplomats is the level of response that many Americans have been craving from our own administration.

“President Trump would be wise to take a page from the Prime Minister's playbook, finally get serious about confronting Russia, and pursue long overdue sanctions.”
