Leader Schumer Statement On Donald Trump’s Plan To Use USPS As A Voter Suppression Machine

Washington D.C – Today, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) released the following statement after the postmaster general confirmed, under a proposed rule, the USPS would not deliver mail ballots in states that refused to hand over voter data:

“Trump is trying to turn the Postal Service into a voter suppression machine. This is not election security — it is election interference in broad daylight. Senate Democrats will fight every attempt to hijack mail-in voting and rig the rules before voters have their say.”
