Washington, D.C. – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) today spoke on the Senate floor regarding the Senate’s continued work to confirm President Biden’s judicial nominees. Below are Senator Schumer’s remarks, which can also be viewed here:
Today, the Senate will continue the business of confirming more judicial nominees. We will vote this afternoon to confirm Jeffrey Cummings of Illinois to serve as District Court Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
Judge Cummings was reported out of committee with a bipartisan vote, and he’d be the 104th district court judge that we confirm under President Biden.
