The Senate stands adjourned until 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

 

On Tuesday, July 28, at 10:00am, a ceremony commemorating the life and legacy of the late Senator Lindsey O. Graham will be held in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol.  The ceremony is open to Members of Congress, invited other members of the government, and Senator Graham’s family and friends by invitation only.  Senators are requested to assemble in the Senate Chamber at 9:30am and proceed to the Rotunda at 9:45am.  There will not be seating in the Rotunda, Senators should expect to be standing for the full ceremony.

 

Following the Congressional Tribute to the Honorable Lindsey O. Graham, there will be a funeral service at the Washington National Cathedral at 2:00pm. Buses will board at 12:30pm and depart at 12:40pm.

 

When the Senate convenes at 5:00pm, following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #833, Walter Clayton, of New York, to be Director of National Intelligence, post-cloture.

 

At approximately 6:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Clayton nomination.

 

Upon disposition of the Clayton nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Calendar #454, H.R.5334, vehicle for Sanctions legislation.
