Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to ten minutes each.
At approximately 11:30am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #745 Anthony J. Powell, of Kansas, to be United States District Judge for the District of Kansas.
If cloture is invoked on the Powell nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at approx. 2:15pm, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #765 Brock Dahl, of Maryland, to be Legal Adviser of the Department of State.
During Tuesday’s session, Senator Thune filed cloture on the following nomination:
