Schedule for Tuesday, March 17, 2026

The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #673 Anna St. John, of Louisiana, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

 

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the St. John nomination. 

 

The Senate recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.

 

If cloture is invoked on the St. John nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 2:15pm.

 

Following the confirmation vote Senator Thune is expected to make a motion to lay before the Senate the House Message to accompany S.1383, Legislative Vehicle for SAVE Act.  Senators should expect a roll call vote.
