Schedule for Tuesday, January 6, 2026

The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, January 6th.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the Simmons nomination.  At approximately 11:30am the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Simmons nomination.

 

The Senate will then recess until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.

 

At approximately 2:20pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #476 Sara Bailey, of Texas, to be Director of National Drug Control Policy.

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #560 Joshua Simmons, of Virginia, to be General Counsel of the Central Intelligence Agency
