The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session to resume consideration of Executive Calendar #262 Maria A. Lanahan to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri.
At approximately 11:45am the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Lanahan nomination, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #269 Robert Law, of the District of Columbia, to be Under Secretary for Strategy, Policy, and Plans, Department of Homeland Security.
The Senate will then recess until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.
At approximately 2:15pm, if cloture is previously invoked, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Law nomination followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #293 Kyle Christopher Dudek, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.
If cloture is invoked on the Dudek nomination, there would be up to 2 hours of debate followed by a roll call vote on confirmation of the Dudek nomination.
Additional roll call votes are possible during Tuesday’s session. Senators will be notified when votes are scheduled.
