The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #131 Matthew Lohmeier, of Arizona, to be Under Secretary of the Air Force, post-cloture.
At approximately 11:30am the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Lohmeier nomination, followed by the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #87 Richard Topping, of Ohio, to be Chief Financial Officer, Department of Veterans Affairs.
If cloture is invoked on the Topping nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at approximately 1:45pm. Upon disposition of the Topping nomination, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #292 Emil J. Bove III, of Pennsylvania, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit.
If cloture is invoked on the Bove nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on confirmation at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader, no earlier than Monday, July 28, 2025.
