The Senate stands adjourned until 4:00pm on Monday, June 16, 2025.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.
At approximately 5:30pm the senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #145, Gary Andres, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Cloture was invoked during Thursday’s session on Cal. #66, S.1582, GENIUS Act, as amended. The Senate will vote on passage of the bill, as amended, at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader on Tuesday, June 17th.
During Thursday’s session Senator Thune filed cloture on the following nominations:
- Executive Calendar #145, Gary Andres, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services
- Executive Calendar #98, Olivia Trusty, of Maryland, to be a Member of the Federal Communications Commission for the remainder of the term expiring June 30, 2025
- Executive Calendar #99, Olivia Trusty, of Maryland, to be a Member of the Federal Communications Commission for a term of five years from July 1, 2025 (Reappointment)
