The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business for debate only until 11:00am.
At approximately 11:00am the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to proceed to S.J.Res.3 A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Internal Revenue Service relating to "Gross Proceeds Reporting by Brokers That Regularly Provide Services Effectuating Digital Asset Sales" (Cruz).
The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for weekly caucus meetings.
If the motion to proceed is agreed to the Senate is expected to vote on passage of S.J.Res.3 during Tuesday’s session. This could be followed by a motion to proceed to S.J.Res.28, A joint resolution disapproving the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to "Defining Larger Participants of a Market for General-Use Digital Consumer Payment Applications" (Ricketts).
On Tuesday, March 4, at 9:00pm, the President of the United States will address a Joint Session of Congress. Senators will assemble in the Senate Chamber at 8:20 p.m. Senators, led by the Vice President, Secretary of the Senate, and the Deputy Sergeant at Arms, will proceed to the House Chamber at 8:25pm.
During Monday’s session Senator Thune filed cloture on Executive Calendar #27 Todd Blanche, of Florida, to be Deputy Attorney General. The cloture vote is expected to occur during Wednesday’s session.
