The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #467 Jacquelyn D. Austin, of South Carolina, to be United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina.

 

At 11:30am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Austin nomination, followed by a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #474 Cristal C. Brisco, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Indiana.

 

If cloture is invoked on either nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired at 2:15pm and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nominations in the order in which cloture was invoked.

 

Following disposition of the Brisco nomination, the Senate will resume consideration of  Executive Calendar #475 Gretchen S. Lund, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Indiana.  At 6:15pm the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Lund nomination.

 

Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:

  1. Executive Calendar #467 Jacquelyn D. Austin, of South Carolina, to be United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina
  2. Executive Calendar #474 Cristal C. Brisco, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Indiana
  3. Executive Calendar #475 Gretchen S. Lund, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Indiana
  4. Executive Calendar #471 Kirk Edward Sherriff, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California
  5. Executive Calendar #459 Joshua Paul Kolar, of Indiana, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #467 Jacquelyn D. Austin, of South Carolina, to be United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #474 Cristal C. Brisco, of Indiana, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Indiana
