The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

 

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #585, Rachael S. Rollins, of Massachusetts, to be United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts for the term of four years.

 

If cloture is invoked on the nomination, at approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Rollins nomination. Following disposition of the nomination, the Senate will vote on cloture on Executive Calendar #482, Michael D. Smith, of Virginia, to be Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation for National and Community Service.

 

If cloture is invoked on the nomination, at approximately 5:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Smith nomination.

 

During Wednesday’s session, the Senate is expected to consider S.J.Res.29, providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Labor relating to "COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing; Emergency Temporary Standard".

 

Additional roll call votes are expected during Wednesday’s session.

 

During Tuesday’s session, Senator Schumer filed cloture on the following:

1. Motion to concur in the House amendment to S.610, vehicle for debt ceiling track/Pay-Go/Medicare fix.

2. Executive Calendar #486 Lucy Haeran Koh, of California, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

3. Executive Calendar #533 Jennifer Sung, of Oregon, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

4. Executive Calendar #576 Samantha D. Elliott, of New Hampshire, to be United States District Judge for the District of New Hampshire.
