The Senate stands in recess until 10:00am on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to a period of Morning Business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

 

At approximately 11:00am, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #169, Lily Lawrence Batchelder, of Massachusetts, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. Immediately after that vote, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #245, Jayme Ray White, of Washington, to be a Deputy United States Trade Representative.

 

If cloture is invoked on either nomination, all time will expire at 2:45pm and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nominations in the order in which cloture was invoked. After disposition of the Batchelder and White nominations, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #341, Florence Y. Pan, of the District of Columbia, to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.

 

If cloture is invoked, there will be up to 2 hours for debate followed by a vote on confirmation of the Pan nomination.

 

Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:

1.      Executive Calendar #169, Lily Lawrence Batchelder, of Massachusetts, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.

2.      Executive Calendar #245, Jayme Ray White, of Washington, to be a Deputy United States Trade Representative.

3.      Executive Calendar #341, Florence Y. Pan, of the District of Columbia, to be United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.

4.      Executive Calendar #244, Sarah Bianchi, of Virginia, to be Deputy United States Trade Representative.

5.      Executive Calendar #241, Daniel J. Kritenbrink, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (East Asian and Pacific Affairs).

6.      Executive Calendar #333, Karen Erika Donfried, of the District of Columbia, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (European Affairs and Eurasian Affairs).

7.      Executive Calendar #324, Monica P. Medina, of Maryland, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs).

8.      Executive Calendar #331, Mary Catherine Phee, of Illinois, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (African Affairs).

9.      Executive Calendar #240, Todd D. Robinson, of New Jersey, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs).

10.  Executive Calendar #334, Jessica Lewis, of Ohio, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Political-Military Affairs).
