Schedule for Joint Session and Thursday, April 29, 2021

The Senate is in recess until 8:25pm tonight and upon reconvening will proceed as a body to the Hall of the House of Representatives for the Joint Session of Congress. At 9:00 p.m., President Joseph Biden will deliver an address from the Hall of the House of Representatives in the U.S. Capitol.

 

Upon dissolution of the joint session, the Senate will stand adjourned until 10:00am on Thursday, April 29, 2021.

 

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Calendar #34, S.914, Drinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Act of 2021.

 

The following amendments will be reported by number and will be the only amendments in order to S.914:

Rubio-Scott (FL) amendment #1471, as modified

Shaheen amendment #1461

Kennedy amendment #1469

Lee amendment #1472

 

At 11:30am, the Senate will vote in relation to the amendments in the order listed, with 60-affirmative votes required for adoption of the Lee amendment and passage of the bill. We expect to agree to the Shaheen and Kennedy amendments by voice votes. Upon disposition of the amendments, Carper-Capito substitute amendment #1460, as amended, if amended, will be agreed to by unanimous consent.

 

At 1:45pm, the Senate vote on passage of the bill, as amended.

 

There will be 2 minutes for debate equally divided prior to each vote.
