Roll call vote: Schumer appeal with respect to consideration of the Barrett nomination

At 2:23pm, the Senate began a 15 minute roll call vote on the question: Shall the decision of the Chair stand as the judgment of the Senate?

Senator Schumer made a point of order that the Barrett nomination should not be placed on the Executive Calendar because it was reported in violation of the rules of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The Chair ruled that the Barrett nomination should be placed on the Executive Calendar because it was reported in accordance with the standing rules of the Senate, and therefore Senator Schumer’s point of order was not sustained.

Decision of the Chair sustained: 53-44.
