The Senate stands
adjourned until 9:30am on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the joint resolutions of disapproval regarding the Saudi arms sales, S.J.Res.27 through S.J.Res.48, en bloc. Prior to 11:30am, Senator Risch will have 5 minutes under his control, and Senator Menendez will have 15 minutes under his control.
At 11:30am, there will be 3 roll call votes on passage of 1) S.J.Res.36 (Saudi bombs), 2) S.J.Res.38 (Saudi bomb fuses), and 3) the remaining resolutions en bloc.
At 1:45pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #122, Rita Baranwal, of Pennsylvania, to be an Assistant Secretary of Energy (Nuclear Energy).
During Wednesday’s session, cloture was invoked on the motion to proceed to S.1790, National Defense Authorization Act. We expect to begin consideration of the bill during Thursday’s session.
