Motion to Discharge S.J.Res.54

Senator Portman asked unanimous consent that notwithstanding Rule 22, that Senator Sanders be recognized to make a motion to discharge S.J. Res. 54, that there be time for debate on the motion until 4:00 PM and that of that time 10 minutes be under control of the Chairman and 10 minutes for the Ranking Member and the remaining time be equally divided between the Leaders or their designees, and at 4:00 PM the Senate vote in relation to the motion to discharge, and following the disposition of the motion the Senate resume executive session and the time spent in legislative session count postcloture on the Farr nomination.

 

The unanimous consent request was agreed to, and Senator Sanders made the motion to discharge S.J.Res.54 from the Committee on Foreign Relations.
