Following Leader remarks, the
Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #1008, A. Marvin
Quattlebaum, Jr., of South Carolina, to be United States Circuit Judge for the
Fourth Circuit, post-cloture. At 12:00 noon, all time on the nomination will
expire and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination.
Upon disposition of the
Quattlebaum nomination, the Senate will immediately vote on the motion to
invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #1009, Julius Ness Richardson, of South
Carolina, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Fourth Circuit. That
cloture vote will occur upon disposition of the Quattlebaum nomination.
