Schedule for Wednesday April 18, 2018

The Senate stands adjourned until 9:30am on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
 
Following leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of S.J.Res.57, CFPB auto lending rule, with the time until 12:00 noon equally divided between the managers, or their designees. At 12:00 noon, there will be a roll call vote on passage of the joint resolution of disapproval of the CFPB auto lending rule.
 
Upon disposition of S.J.Res.57, there will be a cloture vote on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.140, WMAT Settlement Fund, with an amendment (Coast Guard Authorization).
 
If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate. Upon the use or yielding back of time, any pending amendments would be disposed of and the Senate would vote on the motion to concur with amendment (Coast Guard Authorization).
 
If cloture is not invoked on Coast Guard Authorization, there would be an immediate cloture vote on Executive Calendar #609, James Bridenstine, of Oklahoma, to be Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. If cloture is invoked, it would occur upon disposition of the House Message on S.140 (WMAT Settlement Fund with Coast Guard Authorization as an amendment to the motion to concur).
 
The filing deadline for second degree amendments relative to S.140 is one hour prior to the cloture vote. Amendments must be germane and timely filed to be considered in order post-cloture.
 
At 2:00pm, there will be a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #376, Carlos Muniz, of Florida, to be General Counsel, Department of Education.
 
Noon on Wednesday—up to 3 roll call votes
1.      Passage of S.J.Res.57, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval of the CFPB auto lending rule
2.      Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to S.140, WMAT Settlement Fund, with an amendment (Coast Guard Authorization)

3.      Cloture on Executive Calendar #609, James Bridenstine, of Oklahoma, to be Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
