Agreement to consider the CR--up to 4 votes at 5:30pm Thursday, if all time is used

The Senate has reached an agreement to begin consideration of the Continuing Resolution at 1pm tomorrow, Thursday, September 18. There will be up to 4 ½ hours for debate equally divided prior to a series of votes. Under this agreement, if all time is used, at approximately 5:30pm there will be a series of vote in relation to the following items:

-          Sessions, or his designee, motion to table a Reid amendment to the joint resolution

-          Motion to invoke cloture on H.J.Res.124, Continuing Resolution through December 12, 2014

-          Motion to waive any applicable budget points of order (unclear if a Republican will raise a point of order)

-          Passage of H.J.Res.124, Continuing Resolution

Unanimous Consent

I ask unanimous consent that at 1pm, on Thursday, September 18th, the Senate proceed to the consideration of H.J.Res.124, the continuing appropriations resolution; that following the reporting of the joint resolution, the Majority Leader be recognized; that there be up to 4 ½ hours equally divided between the two Leaders, or their designees; that upon the use or yielding back of time, there be no other motions or points of order in order to the joint resolution other than a Sessions, or designee, motion to table or a budget point of order and the applicable motion to waive; that Senator Sessions, or designee, be recognized for a motion to table an amendment to the joint resolution; that if the motion to table is agreed to, the Majority Leader be recognized; that if the motion to table is not agreed to, and notwithstanding rule 22, the Senate proceed to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on H.J.Res.124; that if cloture is invoked, all post-cloture time be considered expired, the pending amendments be withdrawn, the joint resolution be read a third time and the Senate proceed to vote on passage of the joint resolution.
