Substitute and AUMF amendments pending, vote expected around 11:25am

The motion to proceed to H.R.2810, NDAA, was agreed to by voice vote. Senator McCain then offered amendment #1003 (substitute) and Senator McConnell offered Paul amendment #871 (AUMF). There will be some debate (Moran for 7 minutes, Paul for 15 minutes, and then Corker approximately 5 minutes) prior to a roll call vote on a (Corker) motion to table Paul amendment #871 (AUMF). We expect the vote to begin around 11:15am.  Negotiations continue on a path forward on consideration of additional amendments.
