No more votes today, Portman amendment to be considered on Wednesday

The Vitter amendment was agreed to 99-1. The Senate is in a period of  morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each. There will be no further roll call votes today. When the Senate resumes consideration of S.1244, THUD Appropriations, tomorrow, Wednesday, July 24, Senator Portman will be recognized to call up his amendment #1749 (bridges in critical corridors program).

The managers of the bill have asked that senators with amendments to come to the floor early to offer.
