Cloture filed on Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015

The veto message on S.J.Res.8, NLRB, was tabled 96-3.

The Senate then resumed consideration of the Iran bill and Senator McConnell filed cloture on the Corker-Cardin amendment #1140 (substitute) and on the underlying bill, H.R.1191, the legislative vehicle for the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015.

The Senate is in a period of morning business with senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

The filing deadline for first degree amendments is 1:00pm tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6. If cloture is invoked, all amendments must be germane and timely filed to be considered in order post-cloture. The filing deadline would be 1 hour prior to the cloture vote. Unless an agreement can be reached, the cloture vote on the substitute amendment would occur one hour after the Senate convenes on Thursday, May 7.
