Roll Call Vote to appeal the ruling of the Chair--to lower the threshold to majority vote for SCOTUS nominations

By a vote of 48-52, the motion to adjourn was not agreed to.

At 12:17pm, the Senate began a 15 minute roll call vote on appealing the ruling of the Chair;

By a vote of 48-52, the decision of the Chair does not stand as the decision of the Senate.

The question before the body is: Shall the decision of the Chair stand that Supreme Court nominations is not by majority vote.

In other words, shall the decision of the Chair stand that Supreme Court nominations require 60 votes for cloture. A "yes" vote agrees with the Chair that the 60 vote threshold ruling shall stand. A "no" vote would lower the threshold to a majority vote for Supreme Court nominations. Senator Schumer will vote yes.
