Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of H.J.Res.38, disapproving the rule submitted by the Department of the Interior known as the Stream Protection Rule. There will be 6 hours of debate remaining, equally divided between the opponents and proponents.
As a reminder, today Senator McConnell filed cloture on the nomination of Elisabeth DeVos to be Secretary of Education. Under the rules, Thursday will be an intervening day. The cloture motion on the DeVos nomination will ripen as early as 1 hour after the Senate convenes on Friday, February 3. If cloture is invoked, there will then be up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate before a vote on confirmation.
Action on additional CRAs - including votes - are expected during Thursday's session.
